About Intact Roofing

I started Intact Roofing because I was fed up seeing roofers do a shoddy job and charge good money for it. My name's Blue, and this is my business.

I've been up on roofs for years now. Started as an apprentice, learned the trade properly, and worked my way up before I decided to go it alone. I wanted to build a company that does things the right way — turns up when it says it will, tells you the truth about what your roof needs, and does a job you won't have to think about again.

That's still what Intact Roofing is about today.

What we do

We cover most things to do with a roof. New roofs, flat roofing, tiles and slate, chimneys, leadwork, guttering, fascias and soffits, and emergency repairs when something's gone wrong. We work across Exeter, Bristol and the surrounding areas, on houses old and new, and on the odd commercial job too.

I won't pretend every job is glamorous. A lot of what we do is small stuff — a slipped tile, a leaking gutter, a bit of repointing on a chimney. But small jobs matter. Leave them and they turn into big ones. I'd rather fix the small thing properly now than come back in two years for something worse.

How I like to work

I've always thought roofing should be simple. You've got a problem, we come and look at it, we tell you straight what it needs, and we give you a price in writing before anyone touches a tile. No pushing you into work you don't need. No vague quotes that turn into a bigger bill halfway through.

If your roof's fine and just needs a small repair, I'll tell you that. I'm not interested in talking people into a new roof they don't need. That's not how I want to run this business, and it's not how my team works either.

The team

Everyone who works with me knows roofs properly. I don't send anyone out who I wouldn't trust on my own house. We're insured, we work safely, and we take care of your property while we're there — dust sheets down, mess cleared up, garden left the way we found it.

Why people call us back

Most of our work comes from people who used us before, or someone who told them to call us. That means more to me than any advert. If a customer trusts us enough to have us back for the next job, or to give our number to a neighbour, we must be doing something right.
